Pblm with XML Doc file generation for a Web site => HRESULT : 0x80131047

Hello,

I followed the help to create an XML documentation file for a .NET2.0 Web Site,
but when I modify the web.config adding this in the configuration section :

<system.codedom>
<compilers>
<!-- For VB.NET -->
<compiler language="vb;visualbasic" extension=".vb"
compilerOptions="/doc:C:\myPath\Release\bin\MyExactProjectName.xml"
type="Microsoft.VisualBasic.VBCodeProvider, System, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"/>
</compilers>
</system.codedom>

I get this error during the Web Site Validation Step :
Générer (web): Le nom ou le code base de l'assembly donné n'est pas valide. (Exception de HRESULT : 0x80131047)

Do you have an idea of the reason ?

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm not sure, but try to specify a relative path for the /doc: switch instead of a rooted path; e.g., compilerOptions="/doc:Release\bin\ProjName.xml"

Thanks Dave,

Finally I used this syntax that works,

<system.codedom>
<compilers>
<compiler language="vb;vbs;visualbasic;_vbscript"
extension=".vb"
type="Microsoft.VisualBasic.VBCodeProvider, System, Version=1.0.5000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"
compilerOptions="/doc+"/>
</compilers>
</system.codedom>
