DocProject --

Does the "use friendly HTML file names" option check length on the resultant name?

That is, does it have an algorithm to truncate the HTML file name intelligently, so that it is not inordinately long?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi Mark,

No, it does not.  Friendly file names is a feature that is built-in to Sandcastle.  GUID naming is the default when this option is disabled and its also provided by Sandcastle.  GUID naming should be used when file name length is of concern.

OK, that is great.

We switched to using Guid-based naming instead, which works just fine.

Thank you.
