Hi Dave,

VSTS 2008 crashed using DocProject 2008 Beta 2 add-in. But the standalone application works fine.
I installed VSTS 2005 DE side-by-side VSTS 2008 EN. Does it raise troubles?

Hi Dirk,

Having both VS 2005 and 2008 installed shouldn't cause any problems. DocProject 2008 Beta 2 and DocProject 1.10.1 RC should also work on the same machine.

Does VSTS 2008 crash immediately when it's started or are you doing something when it crashes?

Please check the Application event log for a stack trace and error information and post it here (you may want to remove any personal info it contains first).

Hi Dave,

VSTS 2008 crashes on step 7 out of 11 while building the documentation. The event log says:

----------------------------------------------------------------------
An unhandled exception has occurred in the build assembler AppDomain. Terminating: True.

Aaah, I just find the bugreport here: http://www.codeplex.com/DocProject/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=20900
I think I'm running into exactly the same problem.

Hi Dirk,

That could definitely be the issue. Please let me know if installing the October 2007 CTP fixes it.

Hi Dave,

after downgrading Sandcastle (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=E82EA71D-DA89-42EE-A715-696E3A4873B2&displaylang=en) and creating a new VS 'DocProject' project the problems have gone. Thanks a lot!
