Column Widths

I've not been able to find this by doing a search, so I'll ask here.

How do I set column widths for tables? Using what usually works for web pages doesn't seem to be working.

Hi,

In XML documentation you have to use regular HTML, such as <td width="30px">.

In MAML you can do the same.  However, to allow raw HTML to pass through in MAML you must first apply the Sandcastle Styles patch (if you haven't already then you must apply it and create a new DocProject or DocSite for the changes to take effect; Import Topics and Settings in the New Project Wizard can help).  Then you can use the markup tag to wrap the HTML.

The latter defeats the purpose of MAML.  You should consider either not setting the widths of your table columns in MAML, or try extending the existing MAML schema yourself to add support for it.  You can also request this feature in Sandcastle and the Sandcastle Styles project.
